Mark Tadros

Mark Tadros grew up tagging along with his father on visits to date ranches across the east end of the Coachella Valley, including the family’s own farm. Although he didn’t officially join the family business until 2008, his background as a trained chef provided a unique skill set that has proven invaluable in the date industry. Today, Tadros is part owner and president of Aziz Farms, the company his father founded, and has expanded the business in new directions. Aziz Farms now encompasses multiple operations, including growing, harvesting, packing, and selling dates and other produce; offering the farm as a private event space; and hosting school field trips for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

In addition to his work with Aziz Farms, Tadros launched CV Harvest Box, a consumer-direct produce delivery company born out of the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. When the date industry — and much of the world — came to a halt, he pivoted from wholesale distribution to sourcing a variety of produce and food items from local farmers and artisans who were also feeling the strain.

Tadros serves as a board member of the California Date Commission and chairs its marketing committee. In 2023, he was appointed chair of the Vista Santa Rosa Community Council. A familiar face in various publications and media outlets, he is a passionate advocate for California-grown produce and sustainable farming practices.

Outside of business, Tadros enjoys traveling, binge-watching shows on just about every streaming platform, and spending time with his wife and two children.
